Dr Ronder trained in medicine at UCL, later specialising in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Guys, St Thomas’s Hospitals). She has a BSc in Psychology, and an MD in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Julia has published in the areas of DBT in Self-Harming Adolescents, counselling in general Practice, and Anxiety. Julie worked in inpatient adolescent psychiatry for 12 years, then for 7 years in NHS CAMHS.
Dr Ronder recently left her almost full-time NHS post in CAMHS, and now works part time in Paediatrics in an ADHD service. She has also recently trained as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, and is part of the first consultant cohort to train in Transformational Leadership with the Trust. Her approach is to work with evidence-based medicine, empowering young people to learn the skills they need to cope in their lives.
