Dr Michael Rowlands is a Consultant Psychiatrist, who qualified in 1979 with an MB ChB and after his pre-registration year, specialised in a career in Psychiatry. He initially trained in Birmingham, then at the Priory Hospital Roehampton and subsequently at St George's Hospital London. Dr Rowlands then undertook research at the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital, along with higher training. He later became a Consultant with East Surrey District Health Authority with responsibility for adult general psychiatry and substance misuse, along with developing community services for both drugs and alcohol.
Dr Rowlands has worked as a Medical Director of a large private mental health hospital and is a member of the GMC's panel of Psychiatric examiners and supervisors.
