Dr Jusic is a Consultan Forensic Psychiatrist with a background in Internal Medicine. She has been working in Forensic Psychiatry for the last 15 years. She has experience of working at different level of security, having previously worked for several years in an MSU (Oxford Clinic) and having spent a part of her training at Broadmoor Hospital. She is dedicated to the issue of patients’ good physical health in addition to improving their mental health, and is a member of Physical Health Group at Thornford Park hospital. She is trained in application of a number of structured professional risk assessments. She likes teaching these assessments and has done a number of in-house and external training sessions. She encourages positive risk talking in her clinical practice.
She is responsible for looking after patients on Kingsclere ward, which is the least restrictive ward in the hospital and offers intensive rehabilitation opportunities focusing on reintegration into community and vocational activities. The ward has 13 beds in addition to two sets of flats with capacity of 7 beds. In addition, she is looking after 10 patients on Burghclere ward, which is a low-secure. high dependency setting, for those who need longer term, slow stream rehabilitation (though high rehabilitation requirement).The clinical team have experience in looking after personality disordered offenders from high security hospitals with a history of sexual offending and homicide.
