Dr Stroma MacFarlane began her training in Psychiatry in 2000 in the Wessex region working across Hampshire in various sub-specialties including substance misuse, Rehabilitation Psychiatry and Acute and Community based Adult Psychiatry. She has been a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist working in the NHS in Portsmouth for the last six years and latterly, Clinical Director of the Adult Mental Health and Substance Misuse Services just prior to taking up her appointment with Priory.
Stroma has a broad range of psychiatric experience working in a community setting. In her role at the Priory Wellbeing Centre Stroma will provide assessment and treatment of General Adult conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, OCD, addictions, PTSD, personality disorders, eating disorders, Perinatal Psychiatry and occupational health assessments. She is also looking forward to providing a Women’s Mental Health Service addressing the specific psychiatric needs of women.
