Dr Mistry is a qualified Clinical Psychologist who has worked within a variety of settings ranging from the NHS, private and non-profit sector.
Dr Mistry has a keen interest in using a systemic approach to guiding clinical practises and has a strong desire to work with Black Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. Dr Mistry has an ambition to work in developing countries with clients who have experienced trauma
In 2005, Dr Mistry achieved Graduate Basis for Registration as Dr Mistry completed a BSc Applied Psychology with honours degree, accredited by the British Psychological Society, at the University of Wales, Cardiff.
Dr Mistry then went on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Universities of Coventry and Warwick in September 2011. The doctoral course was accredited by the British Psychological Society and Dr Mistry has a Health Professions Council registration. Dr Mistry has also acquired Chartered Psychologist status with the BPS and is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology.
