Before training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, in 1999, Kathleen worked for the NHS, in a Behaviour Therapy team using applied behavioural analysis with adults and children with learning disabilities. She became Behavioural Specialist at an inpatient unit for adults with challenging behaviour and also had a small caseload of clients from the mental health service for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Kathleen then worked full time for The Priory Hospital Chelmsford as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and undertook intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She now works on Saturdays as a sessional therapist.
