Lucie obtained her certificate and diploma in counselling in 2002 and 2003 respectively and her honours degree in Integrative Counselling in 2004 at the University of Surrey. Since then she has gained a post graduate diploma as an individual and group supervisor, has an accreditation with the BACP and has been a certificated couples’ therapist since 2006.
Lucie has worked as a psychotherapist in many settings over the last 14 years including working with the emergency services, the NHS, education and her own private practice, specialising in working with adults, couples and adolescent clients.
She believes that building a good therapeutic relationship with her clients is one of the most important factors when they are facing difficult and painful issues. Working this way enables her clients to feel safe to enable them to gain insight and awareness about themselves and their process, allowing them to make long lasting and effective changes. Lucie works using relational, CBT, CAT and solution focused approaches with a special interest in creative methods to identify possible blocks in therapy, to allow change and help her clients move forward with confidence in their abilities.
Lucie regularly continues with ongoing professional development to provide her clients with recent and relevant therapeutic interventions and in her spare time she enjoys walking, watching sunsets and refining her Pictionary skills.
