Rosa Hernando is a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at the Obsessional Disorders Department. She specialises in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Health Anxiety and other Anxiety disorders. She has 14 years of experience working as a CBT Therapist both in the private sector, at the Priory Hospital and in the NHS. She has extensive experience of running CBT groups as well as providing individual therapy.
As well as CBT she has trained in Rational Emotive Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and has a special interest and training in Third Wave CBT approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. She runs Mindfulness groups and Mindful Self Compassion groups (an innovative evidence-based approach derived from Mindfulness and Compassion Therapy).
She has lectured in the use of CBT for OCD at the Royal Free Hospital to trainee Psychiatrists, and on a course training CBT life coaches. She also supervises CBT Therapists. She is passionate about helping people to develop a compassionate and supportive relationship with themselves and offers therapy in English and Spanish.
