Nicole has worked in the public sector exploring health and illness in society and its social influence on human health. At the beginning of her career she worked with young children who were picky eaters, adolescents and adults with eating disorders, as well as elderly people. Becoming more experienced in the field, Nicole’s interests directed her into expanding her therapeutic capacity into both a nutritionist and a counsellor. Nicole has worked in international treatment centres inside and outside of the UK where she was able to gain experience with both adults and young people with a variety of process addictions and mental health issues.
Nicole moved to the UK to work as a counsellor running a group treatment programme for adults in a local Bournemouth charity for people suffering with drug and alcohol addiction. Eventually Nicole made a change and started working as a counsellor in schools where she helped adolescents with their drug and alcohol use. Alongside this Nicole continued counselling adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
Nicole currently runs group sessions for addictions and group psychotherapy for patients with severe mental health problems at The Priory Hospital in Southampton. Nicole also provides 1-1 therapy at the Priory Wellbeing Centre Southampton.
