Sue Stephenson is an experienced clinical practitioner offering both short term and open ended psychotherapy to patients on a weekly basis.
Sue's clinical practice reflects her training in some of the main research and evidence based psychotherapeutic approaches (CBT, Psychodynamic and Person Centred therapy) which she draw on as appropriate in her work with patients.
Sue has worked as a Sessional Therapist at The Priory Hospital Woking since 2004, working predominantly with patients who present with a range of difficulties including, for example: depression, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship and/or work related problems, loss and eating disorders.
Sue also has two private psychotherapy practices based in Surrey and Berkshire and is am a Clinical Coordinator for a Berkshire based psychodynamic counselling organisation.
Sue is a qualified Supervisor of individual counsellors and groups of counsellors, working with both qualified counsellors and students in training.
Sue was a Visiting Lecturer at a London University for nine years where she trained student counsellors in evidence based psychotherapeutic approaches.
Sue's Master of Science Degree dissertation on absent fathers was published in the Psychodynamic Practice psychotherapy journal.
