Flourish 14/28/42
Where recovery grows stronger – a nurturing space to grow, heal and move forward
Flourish is a revolutionary therapy-led residential addiction service, delivered at Eden House – a supportive, homely setting in Mill Hill, North London.
Designed for people who don’t need a medical detox or ongoing physical care, it offers a structured, therapeutic programme in a calm, compassionate environment. As a community-based and more affordable alternative to hospital treatment, Flourish provides the space and support needed for meaningful, lasting recovery.
Typically available as a 14, 28 or 42-day stay – although this can be longer, if you need it – Flourish gives you time and space to focus on yourself in a nurturing, supportive environment. Whether you’re recovering from a substance or behavioural addiction, you’ll take part in a structured programme of therapy and activities designed to support long-term change.
Before joining the programme, you’ll be invited to take part in a free addiction assessment. This gives you the chance to talk through your needs with a specialist and helps us make sure Flourish is the most suitable option for you.
Our experienced therapists will guide you through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops – all centred on helping you develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce responses to everyday triggers. There’s also time for rest, reflection and connection with other people taking part in Flourish, helping you feel part of a supportive recovery community throughout your stay.
Flourish is designed for people who need support with substance use or behavioural addictions, including gambling, sex, pornography, gaming, social media or exercise. It’s ideal for people who would benefit from structured support in a non-hospital environment, without the need for medical detox.
As part of your recovery journey, you’ll take part in our cutting-edge exposure therapy – designed to help you safely confront the situations that may trigger cravings, stress or relapse outside of treatment.
At Priory, our experts use ground-breaking immersive virtual reality (VR) technology to recreate real-life scenarios in a safe and controlled setting. From social environments to high-pressure situations, this approach allows you to build resilience, develop coping strategies and reduce your sensitivity to potential triggers – all before you encounter them in daily life.
By integrating true-to-life exposure into your programme, we help you gain confidence, lower your risk of relapse and feel better prepared for long-term recovery.
While you’re with us, your loved ones will be invited to take part in weekly online sessions. These sessions are designed to help them better understand addiction, manage their own emotions and feel more confident in how they support your recovery.
If you’re staying with us for 28 days or more, we also offer the option of a more in-depth family therapy programme (available at an additional cost). This 2-day experience is led by our therapy team and includes:
We’ll need your consent for any direct interaction between our therapy team and your family, and we’ll always work with you to ensure the process feels comfortable and supportive.
Your recovery doesn’t end when your stay does. Flourish includes 12 months of free aftercare, helping you stay connected, confident and on track as you return to everyday life.
As part of your transition, you’ll be supported to:
A big part of moving forward is feeling more in control when faced with everyday triggers. Through the work you’ve done at during the Flourish programme, you’ll be better equipped to handle these moments with confidence and resilience.
In addition:
Together, these options offer a robust support network to guide your next steps and help you build a life in recovery that feels sustainable and meaningful.
Before starting the programme, you’ll have a free addiction assessment with one of our experts. This confidential conversation is a chance to talk through your history of substance use or behavioural concerns, and helps us ensure that Flourish is right for you.
If Flourish is a good fit for you, you’ll be able to start the full therapy programme straight away – often on the same day. As the programme is designed for people who don’t need a medical detox or have complex physical health needs, you won’t need to go through a stabilisation period, and you’ll be able to make the most of every day in treatment from the moment you arrive.
From day 1, you’ll take part in a structured, in-depth therapy programme:
Flourish offers an alternative to the traditional 12-step approach used in services like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Instead of following a fixed framework, we use a flexible, evidence-based model grounded in therapies recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) – such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychoeducation and trauma-informed care. This gives you the freedom to engage with therapy in a way that suits your needs, while still having the option to attend AA or other 12-step groups if you find them helpful.
Beyond the core group work, your programme includes:
