Lucy is a senior mental health and addictions copywriter at Priory, having joined the company in May 2026. With a background in psychology, journalism and social care marketing, she specialises in creating clear, accessible and compassionate content on complex and sensitive topics.
She holds a first-class degree in Psychology from Lancaster University and has a particular interest in mental health and emotional wellbeing. She began her career in journalism and content writing in the news and entertainment industry, before moving into a marketing role in the children’s social care sector.
In this role, she creates and manages content across the organisation, including website and social content, sharing the stories of children and young people in care, as well as foster carers, in a thoughtful and sensitive way.
Since joining Priory, Lucy has drawn on her experience to make complex mental health and addiction topics easier to understand, communicating about sensitive subjects with accuracy, care and empathy.
