Rebecca Ryder

Mental health writer

Rebecca is a freelance writer and fully qualified, trauma-informed facilitator of breathwork and somatic release. She is training as a therapist on the person-centred counselling course at The Manchester College. She is also continuing her training in somatic therapy, with a year-long Somatic Inquiry course informed by Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry (led by one of his mentees).

Rebecca is passionate about helping people to thrive beyond their challenges and deep-rooted trauma, with a multidisciplinary, compassionate approach to wellbeing. She has several years of experience in the mental health and personal development field. She previously worked at Priory full-time and has worked in content marketing for other leading healthcare brands.

With her wellbeing-focused business The Loud Quiet, Rebecca specialises in helping people reconnect to themselves. She runs breathwork regular classes, themed workshops, courses and 1:1 somatic therapy sessions, to process emotions and release stuck tension in the body. Her work is rooted in nervous system regulation, mindfulness, embodiment, and self-expression. She draws on both lived experience and professional practice to create safe, transformative spaces, blending eastern and western approaches to health and wellness.

Rebecca has worked with clients across the UK and internationally, training and supporting on trauma healing retreats in Mexico, Spain and Canada. She has helped people navigate chronic stress, grief, ADHD, recovery from addiction, burnout, body-based trauma and creative blocks.

Rebecca blends science-backed insight, her own research and real-world client case studies to create compassionate, accessible content, helping people better understand their inner world and take steps toward lasting fulfilment and growth.
