About
Anna specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and can help clients by using CBT techniques to reduce the symptoms that are maintaining a presenting problem. CBT focuses mainly on the ‘here and now’ but will take into consideration past experiences and significant events.
Position at Priory
Anna has been working at Priory for 5 years. She has undertaken various roles to gain different experience in the healthcare setting. She has been within the therapy department for 3 years, initially as a therapy assistant then trainee CBT therapist and now as a qualified CBT therapist.
Training
Anna gained her Masters CBT degree from Buckinghamshire New University. She completed her placement within Priory, seeing outpatients for one-to-one sessions and running CBT group therapy sessions. She is currently awaiting provisional accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She has also completed an undergraduate degree in psychology.
