About

I am an empathetic, mindful and caring therapist who provides high-quality, evidence-based support. I work with children and adolescents aged 7–17 experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.

Position at Priory

I work as a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist within the children adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) team, at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove.

Training

  • I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&YP-IAPT) at Reading University from 2019-2020.
  • During that time, I conducted my CBT training at Harrow CAMHS, working for Central North West London (CNWL) NHS Trust. My role was to deliver evidence-based treatment for children and young people aged 7 to 18 years with complex mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression. panic and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
  • I was responsible for undertaking risk assessments and risk management for individual clients and providing guidance and consultation to other professionals, such as social workers, school staff and support workers, on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.
  • I then obtained a position as a specialist CAMHS practitioner in 2021 to 2023, working for East London Foundation Trust NHS (ELFT) at City and Hackney CAMHS, where I worked within two teams, the emotional and behavioural pathway and the behaviour support and outreach pathway, as a care co-ordinator.
  • I provided therapeutic treatment for children and young people aged 7 to 17 years and their families, who were experiencing complex mental health, behavioural and emotional difficulties.
  • I supported in aspects relating to challenges with school, social care involvement and underlying neurodiversity symptoms in the form of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) exploration.
