Carly Webb
Integrative Psychotherapist/Counsellor
Carly Webb

Carly Webb

Carly initially joined Priory in 2015 as a student therapist at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, working primarily with outpatients using an integrative approach to one-to-one therapy. In 2019, Carly joined the teams in Harley Street and Fenchurch Street as an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, working with adults and adolescents on a short or long-term basis.

Alongside her work with Priory, Carly runs her own private clinic in South West London and is involved in charitable projects supporting individuals with their mental health. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Following many years in the voluntary sector (working predominantly with victims of domestic and sexual abuse), Carly made the transition into psychotherapy and counselling. She studied at The Minster Centre in North London and subsequently with The Open University before completing her Master of Science Degree in Therapeutic Counselling at the University of Greenwich. Alongside studying for her Master’s degree, Carly completed clinical placements with Priory Hospital Hayes Grove and an NHS facility in South West London.

Since qualifying, Carly has gained a wealth of experience within the NHS and through running her own clinic.

Research interests

Carly has a particular interest in the understanding, retelling and interpretation of dreams for the therapeutic gain of her patients. Curious about the role of the unconscious and subconscious in sleep-state dreaming, her research on the use of dream interpretations in psychotherapy formed a large part of her Master’s degree.

I specialise in treating depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem/confidence and in working with those who have been bullied or abused. I have considerable experience of working with relationship difficulties (whether professional, intimate, with friends or with family), and with those who are struggling following a loss or bereavement.

I take an integrative approach to my work, using skills from psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), existential and mindfulness teachings.
