About

Christine Board is a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist and an EMDR practitioner, but since qualifying has diversified and draws from a range of modalities. She utilises what approach best fits for her client.

She uses a person-centred approach and builds the individual therapy around her client. Her therapy is relational and provides a friendly, warm, safe and collaborative space for her clients to work through their emotional difficulties. Her therapy works based on examining how mood and feelings are influenced by thoughts and behaviour. By doing this she can help clients work towards a wanted measurable change in their life, enabling them to see things from a different perspective and to help them to move forward in their life, into a better place.

Position at Priory

Christine Board started working for Priory in December 2020.  She has experience working in several mental health settings, including NHS England, employment assistance programmes, her own private practice as a psychotherapist and a clinical supervisor.

Christine has also had experience of teaching on an introduction to counselling skills course, in 2015, at Network Counselling and Training.
