Claire Tully
Addictions therapist
Consultant Placeholder 360X246

I am extremely passionate about helping people to create a richer and more meaningful life.  I believe the most important relationship we will ever have is with ourselves and feel it’s an immense privilege to be alongside people as they make impactful changes within themselves and their lives.

Position at Priory

Since 2015 Claire has worked in the mental health field, gaining numerous years of experience in a specialist fertility service, as well as NHS talking therapy services. Claire has experience of working with people struggling with emotional and physical stresses of fertility treatment and those who have difficulties with stress, anxiety and depression. Claire also has particular interest and expertise in providing therapy to individuals struggling with addiction.

Claire began her career at Priory Hospital Altrincham in 2022 as an addiction therapist and is a registered Accredited Professional with The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

Training

Claire completed her level 4 diploma in person-centred counselling in 2017 at Cheshire Therapy.  Further qualifications in CBT were acquired in the same year and she is currently studying a postgraduate qualification in person-centred experiential counselling for depression at UCLan.

CfD is a manualised form of psychological therapy as recommended by NICE for the treatment of depression. It is a form of psychological therapy derived from the skills for the health and humanistic competence framework devised by Roth, Hill and Pilling (2009), which provided the basis for the national occupational standards (NOS) for psychological therapists.
