Delia Matthews

Delia has been a humanistic, integrative, cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT) with 20 years' experience and has been a child/adolescent and family psychotherapist for the past 10 years.                         

During this time she has worked in various settings outside of private practice and at The Priory Hospital, specialising in eating disorders, adult mental health and working on the adolescent wards. 

Delia has worked with survivors of high profile disasters, specialising in post-traumatic stress disorder, critical incident and stress de-briefing. She has worked in schools, liaising with multi-disciplinary teams such as CAFCAS and CAHMS, Social Services, and other agencies in the caring professions. 

Delia is an experienced Supervisor with experience in supervising for marriage care, GP surgeries, working with Trainee Counsellors and individuals in private practice. Delia enjoys teaching, counselling up to Diploma level and being part of enabling over 200 students to achieve qualifications in the Counselling profession.
