Deniz Ahmet
Integrative psychotherapist
Consultant Placeholder 360X246

Deniz is an integrative psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), based at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove. Deniz has the experience of working with children, young people and adults, and has been with Priory since July 2022. During this time, Deniz has worked with inpatients and day care patients, facilitating groups and working with patients on an individual basis.

Deniz works with an integrative therapeutic approach, which allows her to use different skills and models to uniquely accommodate the individual in her care and their needs. Working with an integrative approach may include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. Deniz also emphasises the importance of mindfulness and practising self-care in every part of her work.

Whilst Deniz offers talking based therapy, she also appreciates that sometimes our thoughts and feelings can be challenging to express. Therefore, Deniz includes different techniques that may require more creative ways of working to help support clients to share these parts of themselves.

Deniz’s aim is to offer a welcoming space that is safe, non-judgemental and warm, for clients to share their concerns and personal journey together. Together, we will explore the goals for therapy and work step-by-step to make changes for a healthier wellbeing.
