Dr Donna Grant
Consultant Psychiatrist
Donna Grant (1)

Dr Donna Grant

Dr Donna Grant has worked as a visiting consultant psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Chelmsford since 2007. Between 2007 and August 2021, Dr Donna Grant also carried out NHS work as a consultant psychiatrist.

Since September 2021, Dr Donna Grant’s focus has been her own private practice. In her clinic, she assesses and treats adults with a variety of mental health issues using different approaches, including medications and talking therapies where needed. She has strong links to highly qualified therapists at Priory Hospital Chelmsford, so she can organise different therapies that might be required to help a person’s recovery. Her current clinic is based at Priory Hospital Chelmsford.

Training

Dr Donna Grant graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998 and then trained as a psychiatrist, gaining her membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2004.  She took up her first post as a consultant psychiatrist in 2007 in North Essex where she remained until 2017 when she joined Priory Group.

Dr Donna Grant continues to develop her knowledge and experience through ongoing education including attendance at conferences, seminars and self-directed learning. This ensures that she practices evidence based medicine and provides the best standard of care that she can.

I strive to provide the best clinical care I can for my patients and this continues to be my main focus. I am very approachable, flexible and supportive. I communicate well with patients, their families and carers, as well as other professionals involved in the patient’s care such as the GP. I keep my knowledge up to date so that I can provide a high level of evidenced-based care.
