Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult
Dr Donna Grant

Dr Donna Grant

Dr Donna Grant has worked as a visiting consultant psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Chelmsford since 2007. Between 2007 and June 2017 Dr Donna Grant also worked in the NHS as a consultant psychiatrist, and since June 2017 she has been the lead consultant psychiatrist on an acute adult ward at Priory Hospital Chelmsford. She enjoys being an integral part of the team, and enjoys the responsibilities and challenges which come with a leadership position.

In addition to this, Dr Donna Grant has been running her own private clinics alongside her other responsibilities. In her clinic, she assesses and treats adults with a variety of mental health issues using different approaches including medications and talking therapies where needed. She has strong links to highly qualified therapists at Priory Hospital Chelmsford, so she can organise different therapies that might be required to help a person’s recovery. Her current clinic is based at Priory Hospital Chelmsford.

Training

Dr Donna Grant graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998 and then trained as a psychiatrist, gaining her membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2004.  She took up her first post as a consultant psychiatrist in 2007 in North Essex where she remained until 2017 when she joined Priory Group.

Dr Donna Grant continues to develop her knowledge and experience through ongoing education including attendance at conferences, seminars and self-directed learning. This ensures that she practices evidence based medicine and provides the best standard of care that she can.
