Dr Erica Cini
Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Erica Cini

Dr Erica Cini

Dr Cini currently works in a split consultant post, with half of her time in a community general Child and Adolescent Mental Health team and the other half in Eating Disorders.

She is seconded to The Priory Hospital Roehampton, by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. In this post, Dr Cini pursues her special interest - eating disorders in children and adolescents.

She works in an inpatient setting and liaises closely with the community eating disorders team to ensure a seamless transition to/from the community. She has been to Prof. J. Lock’s course on Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa. This has enhanced her systemic thinking, which she uses in her day-to-day practice.

Dr Erica Cini graduated from the Malta Medical School in 2005. She furthered her Core Psychiatric Studies with the KSS Deanery and completed her Higher Specialist Training in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at St Mary’s Scheme, London, which is affiliated to Imperial College, London.

Research Interests

Quality and Performance are another of Dr Cini’s passions. This transcribes to ensuring high quality and standards of care, whilst keeping abreast with the latest Evidence-Based Practice. Dr Cini is also committed to teaching and is involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors, both at The Priory Hospital Roehampton, and at Imperial College, London, where she is an Honorary Lecturer.
