Dr Irene Yi

Dr Irene Yi started work as a Community Paediatrician in Surrey, and was instrumental in bridging the collaborative working of paediatricians and child psychiatrists.

She was a member of the focus group in developing specialist services for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the early 2000s. Irene has continued with her training in Eating Disorders – in family based approaches (the Maudsley Multi-family Group and Family Based Treatment).

Clinical services she offers at Priory Hospital Roehampton include psychiatric assessment and diagnosis for general child and adolescent mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, obsessional and compulsive disorders.

Out-patient treatment of anorexia nervosa (and bulimia nervosa) including psychiatric and medical monitoring, liaison with paediatricians where appropriate, psycho-education and support and guidance for parents. Parent psycho-education groups will be considered depending on the patient numbers.
