About
I am a consultant psychiatrist providing specialist, patient-centred care for adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.
I have extensive experience working across acute, psychiatric intensive care, rehabilitation, and specialist personality disorder services. This means I am used to supporting individuals with complex and long-standing difficulties, as well as those going through more recent or acute challenges.
My approach is calm, structured, and collaborative. I take time to understand your experiences in depth, and work with you to develop a clear and personalised treatment plan. This may include a combination of medication, psychological approaches, and practical strategies to support long-term recovery.
I have a particular interest in personality difficulties, trauma, and the impact of life experiences on mental health. I aim to provide care that is thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in an understanding of how past experiences can shape current difficulties.
Alongside my clinical work, I have held leadership roles focused on improving the quality and safety of mental health services. I am also involved in training and supporting other doctors and healthcare professionals, and contribute regionally through my work with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
My aim is to offer clear, effective, and evidence-based care in a professional and supportive environment.
