Dr JK Pasterski
Dr J K Pasterski was Medical Director at the Priory Hospital Altrincham from 1990 to 2010 and remains a Consultant Psychiatrist at this site. Between 1986 and 1990 he was Deputy Medical Director.
Dr Pasterski was appointed as a Consultant Psychiatrist to Trafford Area Health Authority in 1980 and worked as a full time NHS Consultant until 1990. He was previously a lecturer in psychiatry at medical school in Warsaw between 1970 and 1975.
Dr Pasterski trained in Medicine at medical school in Warsaw. On arrival in the UK in 1975 he joined the MSC and MRCPsych course at the University Hospital South Manchester. He completed his training in 1979 and was appointed as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 1980. He has been a Fellow of The Royal College of Psychiatrists for many years.
Dr Pasterski sees outpatients at the Priory Hospital Altrincham. Between 2001 and 2006 he formed a liaison with the Specialist Service for Affective Disorders at Manchester University, run by Professor Ian Anderson. He also formed a special interest group called Northwest Affective Disorders and was the first Chairman from 2001. The group now has a membership of over 120.
