About
Dr Abraham worked as a full-time psychiatrist in the NHS for over 25 years, 19 of which were as a consultant psychiatrist in South London, gaining extensive experience in the treatment of a wide range of mental health problems in both community and hospital settings. He left NHS practice in June 2022 to join Priory Hospital Hayes Grove.
Dr Abraham is committed to helping patients to make the most appropriate, well-informed decisions about their treatment while supporting them in their recovery.
Training
After qualifying as a medical doctor in 1992, Dr Abraham undertook specialist training in India, gaining an MD in Psychiatry in 1995. This was followed by training in the UK to receive Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1998. After completing further higher specialist training, Dr Abraham has been in the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry since 2003.
