About

Dr Baggott was appointed consultant psychiatrist and added to the specialist register in 2005, working across both the NHS and private sector in the UK and internationally. He provides patient-centred, evidence-based care, with a focus on recovery, improvement and collaborative decision making.

Position at Priory

Dr Baggott is a senior consultant psychiatrist who has held a number of senior leadership roles, including specialist clinical director within the NHS, lead consultant for a specialist mental health charity, and head of psychiatry for an international hospital in the Arabian Gulf.

Training

Dr Baggott graduated from the University of Leicester and initially worked in medicine and surgery before joining the Trent rotational psychiatry training scheme, where he completed higher training in general psychiatry. He returned to the UK at the end of 2024 to lead Silverstone, a specialist DBT service recognised as the first fully accredited inpatient DBT service and a European benchmark service.

In 2026, he was appointed consultant in eating disorder psychiatry within the NHS in Cambridge. He is also a medical specialist advisor on eating disorders to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
