Dr Nora Turjanski

Dr Nora Turjanski recently joined the Priory Group in 2020, although she has been working in private practice for almost a decade at highly prestigious London Hospitals, providing psychiatric care to patients with a range of medical conditions.

Dr Turjanski has a wealth of experience treating people with medically unexplained symptoms, psychological consequences of physical illness, as well as people with depression, anxiety and other types of mood disorders.

Dr Turjanski developed and led the perinatal psychiatry service at the Royal Free Hospital, working closely with the obstetric team. Additionally, as a neuropsychiatrist, she has experience in the treatment of depression in neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.

She also runs one of the few NHS psychiatric clinics for patients with psychological difficulties and HIV.

In 2000 Dr Turjanski commenced psychiatric training and became a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist and Neuropsychiatrist in 2006. Since then she has held a substantive post in the NHS. She has published extensively, in particular on clinical neuroscience and liaison psychiatry.

Dr Turjanski is a member of the Executive Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She teaches postgraduate and is an examiner for the College.
