Dr Peter Webster

Dr Peter Webster is a consultant psychiatrist in eating disorders and general psychiatry at Priory Wellbeing Centre Oxford, Priory Arthur House and Priory Hospital Chelmsford.

Dr Webster has worked with Priory for 15 years primarily with inpatients and outpatients suffering from Eating Disorders and other psychiatric conditions.

Training

Dr Webster studied Medicine and Theology at the University of Cambridge before completing his medical studies at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. He trained in Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry where he was a Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders at the National Eating Disorder Service. He then moved to set up the Eating Disorders Unit at The Priory Hospital Chelmsford.

Research Interests

While at the institute of Psychiatry Dr Webster researched drug modulation in functional magnetic resonance imaging and has a number of publications in Eating Disorders. 

I believe in supporting people whilst they suffer with mental illness and guiding them into recovery.
