Research Interests

Dr Rajmangal’s doctoral research was on young people’s perspectives of gambling, focusing on how technology has contributed to gambling behaviour/perspectives. Previously she carried out research during training on society’s impact on body image and self-esteem in males.

I am a qualified counselling psychologist with experience working with a range of mental health disorders, including alcohol and substance misuse, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bereavement.

I have delivered therapeutic treatment to adults in individual and group settings. I am also experienced in providing therapy to young people and their families in a range of settings. I consider myself to be an integrative practitioner who draws on models that are appropriate for each client’s individual needs; these include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic and person-centred therapies. I take a holistic approach in understanding each person’s unique experiences and am flexible and collaborative in my practise.
