Elaine Morrow
CBT Therapist

Elaine Morrow

Elaine Morrow joined Priory Group in 2019 as a Psychotherapist, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Alongside working at the Priory Wellbeing Centre, Elaine also provides private CBT therapy services to the Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre, from which she graduated with Excellence in 2018, on completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy. Elaine is a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and is currently working towards her Accreditation with BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists).

Elaine completed a BSc (Hons) Open Degree in 2016, specialising in Psychology and Health and Social Care. Elaine has always been passionate about Mental Health, and also completed four years of voluntary work for a leading Mental Health charity in Northern Ireland, facillitating weekly Support Groups for sufferers of Depression and Bipolar Disorder. Following her undergraduate degree, Elaine then undertook the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy (CBT) at the Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre.

I am a warm and friendly therapist, who seeks to build a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients, through providing a secure base for them to begin to work through their distress. I am a passionate advocate for mental health care, and strive to deliver the highest standards of psychotherapy within a professional environment.

I work with client’s using a range of therapeutic modalities, such as: CBT, Schema Therapy, CFT, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). My therapeutic methods involve establishing an individualised treatment plan for each client, and I will often utilise a blend of therapeutic modalities best suited to targeting the client’s unique difficulties. I have found that this tailored approach ensures the most effective therapy outcomes for the client, rather than adopting a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. My particular areas of interest are working with Personality Disorders, and working with Interpersonal difficulties.
