I am a positive, conscientious, and caring counsellor with experience in offering support and guidance to adults of all ages. I have the ability to empathise with my clients and offer a safe and non-judgemental environment to explore thoughts, emotions and difficulties. I am comfortable working and communicating with people of all backgrounds and I have experience in providing support on anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, loss, and a range of other issues.

Ms Gkontosidou joined Priory as a therapist/counsellor in 2017. Ms Gkontosidou is qualified by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and trained as an integrative counsellor, using elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred and psychodynamic therapy in her practice. This means that she uses different approaches to suit each client’s unique needs and makes sure that they work together to overcome difficulties and find helpful coping strategies.
Ms Gkontosidou acquired her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BSc) in 2012 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, and she continued her studies at The University of Sheffield, graduating with a Master’s degree (MA) in Counselling Psychology, in 2016. During her studies, she was trained as an integrative counsellor, using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic and psychodynamic approaches in her practice.
