About
In 2011, Gabriella decided to have a career change and completed a 3-year long qualification in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. Since then she has trained in a range of techniques and models of therapy such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), person-centred counselling and couples counselling. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, families, older people and disabled people.
Gabriella has specialist training and experience in the treatment of people with issues of difference and diversity, including cultural, faith and ethnicity-related problems.
Gabriella originally became a therapist due to going through some difficult times herself and firmly believes that this lived experience enables her to better understand and empathise with clients.
Gabriella will do her utmost to provide a safe space for you, to give words to your feelings and enable you to seek out your best self without the fear of rejection.
