Harriet Ward

CBT Therapist

About

Harriet is a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist who works collaboratively with clients using evidence-based approaches to understand and address a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders and mood-related conditions. Her work focuses on developing a shared understanding of how difficulties develop and are maintained, supporting clients to build practical skills and make meaningful, lasting change.

In addition to CBT, Harriet has completed training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and integrates ACT principles into her clinical work. Alongside structured CBT interventions, she helps clients develop psychological flexibility, relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions and take steps towards a life guided by their values. Her approach combines structure and strategy with compassion and curiosity.

Harriet has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering individual therapy and facilitating group programmes. She has worked within the dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) team at Priory Hospital Roehampton, supporting individuals experiencing significant emotion regulation difficulties and complex presentations.
