Hatty Veale is a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing EMDR therapist, working with both adults and young people.
She is fully accredited with both the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Hatty has over 12 years’ experience of working with a variety of mental health conditions in adults and young people. Hatty has developed her career in a variety of healthcare settings, organisations, charities and also in private practice; where she also supervises other therapists.
She specialises in treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and in treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression and anxiety-related disorders and phobias. She also supports clients experiencing difficulties with stress, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Hatty uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. Her person-centred approach underpins all of her work and she will work with her clients to create a safe, non-judgemental space to explore their issues and create collaborative, evidence-based treatment plans.
Position at Priory
CBT/EMDR sessional therapist since May 2021, joining the team as a permanent member in November 2024.
