About

I am an experienced counsellor and have worked for over 25 years in mental health, including counselling students and seeing patients at a GP practice. I use psychodynamic background to understand clients and I also use solution-focussed approaches to help clients gain support and/or achieve change in their life.

I believe counselling provides a safe, confidential place to talk about your feelings and concerns, perhaps difficult events in your life, negative thoughts and behaviours which you want to change, or your emotions and relationships. While friends and relatives can help greatly, counselling offers the opportunity to talk with someone who isn’t part of the problem, who can offer insights and help to “join up the dots”.
