About
Helen is an integrative therapist who is trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and the person-centred approach, and is an accredited member with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
She enjoys working with young people and adults to support them to explore their feelings and develop positive strategies for good mental health.
Position at Priory
Helen works with the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) at Priory Hospital Ticehurst House, and with the adult outpatient service.
Training
- Psychotherapeutic Counselling Diploma (accredited with the NCPS)
- Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (accredited with the NCPS)
- Postgraduate Certificate in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health (Kings College London)
- Trained in working with creative resources, neurodivergent clients and eating disorders
Research interests
Helen is interested in the impact of relational and attachment trauma on young people’s development, particularly with how this interacts and overlaps with neurodivergence.
