About

The aim of art therapy is to facilitate the expression and communication of feelings and thoughts using art materials and processes to work towards an understanding of issues that may underline current difficulties. Participants do not have to be skilled in art as any mark or form made in sessions is valued. Sessions are offered on an individual and group basis.

Helen qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 1998 and she is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as well as the British Association of Art Therapists.

Since 2001, Helen has been working as the Art Therapist at Priory Hospital Glasgow working in the Eating Disorders Unit, the Addictions Unit and the General Therapy Programmes.
