Henry King
Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist (MBACP accredited)
Consultant Placeholder 360X246

Henry joined Priory in 2021. He works face-to-face and remotely with outpatients and also runs a busy private practice based in South West London. Henry works with both adults and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) referrals.

He is passionate about his work as a therapist. As an integrative therapist, he is able to draw from a number of therapeutic modalities to inform my work including person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

He pays particular attention to evidence-based practice and value feedback from my patients. He has worked with mental health in various roles for just under a decade. This experience has helped shape his therapeutic practice and given me a wide range of experience and knowledge. Henry takes pride in his work, and he is always looking to develop his skills and practice through continuing professional development.

Training

Henry graduated from Middlesex University and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrative Relational Counselling. He is currently undertaking a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice. Henry has past experience of working as a therapist within the NHS. Other roles in mental health include working with people affected by homelessness, adult social services, asylum seeking children and adults, and prolific offenders. Henry has also worked for many years with young people in the care system. He is committed to continuing professional development and often attends training covering a wide range of mental health topics. Henry is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their code of ethics.

I am passionate about my work as a therapist. As an integrative practitioner, I am able to work differently with every patient and practise a combined approach of counselling and other therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I pay particular attention to evidence-based practice and value feedback from my patients. I have worked with mental health for over eight years in various roles. I believe this experience has helped to shape my therapeutic practice and given me a wide range of experience and knowledge to draw from. I take pride in my work and the fact that I am always looking to develop and learn as a practitioner.
