Ines Olivares
Inés Olivares is a Psychodynamic Counsellor with a background in psychology and primary care interventions in mental health settings.
Inés´approach to counselling is based on what she believes is the core part of therapy: she provides a safe, non-judgemental, and trusting space in which clients feel comfortable sharing and exploring their feelings. When creating a therapeutic relationship with her clients, she invites them to feel heard and to take part in a healing process that allows them to get insight into both their difficulties and their strengths. By achieving this understanding through reflection, people can gain mastery of their lives and become more attuned with their feelings.
Inés uses the psychodynamic approach in her practice, which focuses on the conscious and unconscious mental processes that influence one´s way of being in relation to ourselves, others, and the world. This type of therapy is aimed to help people develop self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behaviour and emotions.
Additionally, she has also had training and experience working with other theoretical models such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and humanistic or Gestalt techniques. In this sense, she is a professional that can integrate concepts from different therapeutic approaches and be flexible in order to provide the care that you might need. She recognises and values the uniqueness of each individual and offers unconditional acceptance for who people are.
