About
Jennifer is qualified in gestalt therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and tailors her practice to meet the needs of her clients. With over 12 years of counselling experience, working with adults and young people, Jennifer brings a warm yet professional approach. As an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Jennifer's core values are always present, which include empathy, unconditional positive regard, respect, resilience and equality.
Jennifer works with a variety of different challenges, including mental health issues, bereavement, abuse, loss, and many other emotional and behavioural challenges. Jennifer is also a clinical supervisor and a lecturer teaching level 5 and level 6 BSc Honours Degree.
Position at Priory
Jennifer is an integrative therapist (CBT and gestalt) working as a part time sessional adult and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) therapist. Jennifer is an accredited registered member of the BACP.
Training
Jennifer has specialist training in working with bereavement, trauma-informed practice, counselling young people, brief family therapy, self-harm, domestic abuse, and positive behavioural management and handling.
Research interests
Jennifer has carried out research on the experience of silence in counselling with young people and adults, using a mixed method study as part of her Honours Degree.
