About
Jo has been working in the field of mental health for more than 26 years, including 10 years specialising in addiction. Her previous experience includes working within an inpatient alcohol and drug detox ward at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, followed by a community drug and alcohol outpatient service within South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.
Jo understands that taking the first step to ask for help can feel difficult, and recognises that every individual’s journey is unique. She works collaboratively and holistically to tailor the support she provides. Through building a strong therapeutic relationship, Jo supports individuals to feel safe exploring and understanding their addiction, identifying underlying factors, increasing awareness of triggers, and developing coping tools and strategies.
Jo is person-centred and compassionate in her approach, using evidence-based interventions to help individuals recognise their own strengths and develop sustainable changes.
