About

Jodie is a therapist at Priory and works on a one-to-one basis with our inpatients and outpatients, providing integrative therapeutic interventions that focus on the individual needs of the clients. She provides face-to-face sessions, as well as working with people online and running focused groups sessions for our inpatients. She also support the psychiatry team in their multidisciplinary team meetings with patients.

Training

Jodie is a trained integrative psychotherapist who is professionally accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). She is also trained in transactional analysis (TA). 

She has also completed additional continuing professional development (CPD) and holds a certificate in interpersonal neurobiology and polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT) and personality disorders.

Research interests

Jodie in interested in the field of menopause (including peri, post, early onset and medically induced) and the impact that hormone imbalance and fluctuation can have on mental health for women, trans people and those in a relationship with these people, for example, husbands, wives and children. She is putting together a research proposal to take her ideas further.

I am an advocate for self-awareness and development, for change and choice, and as an integrative therapist at Priory, and in my own private practice, my aim is to create a safe space that fosters trust, respect and unconditional positive regard. Here, I can support clients to evolve and grow in the way they want to, helping them to develop a better relationship with themselves and with others.
