About
Kamila is a psychologist and a practitioner of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. She offers support to people undergoing various types of emotional crises that hinder everyday, harmonious functioning.
Currently, Kamila works with clients in London, conducting face-to-face sessions, as well as online therapy, for people from all over the world. She works with adults (individual sessions and couples).
Kamila is passionate about engaging in social projects aimed at supporting mental health awareness.
She obtained Master's degree in Psychology in 2012 at the Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw and gained professional practice, among others, at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Garuda Centre in Warsaw.
As a member of the Polish Psychologists' Association, she provides psychological support as part of consultations addressed to her compatriots living in the UK. She also once ran a smoking cessation clinic, which helped clients to deal with addictions using cognitive behavioural techniques.
For several years she have been co-operating with three companies:
AICS Brain Injury Group - develops an action plan and provides support for people with cognitive and physical impairment. She also assesses emotional needs, which helps with anger/anxiety and difficult behaviours.
AnxietyUK - works with clients presenting with a number of anxiety disorders, depressive states, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), various types of phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), addictions, etc.
East European Resource Centre - providing emotional support to clients who have experienced hate crime, radicalisation, domestic violence and those who have experienced modern slavery. She helps clients to increase their self-esteem, competence and strength to act.
Kamila is continuously developing her qualifications, in order to provide support in a difficult time for her clients in the most effective way. She subjects her work to regular supervision and works in accordance with the Professional and Ethical Code.
