About
Kirsty is a qualified integrative psychotherapist, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist with just under 20 years’ experience in the mental health field. She chooses to draw from a wide variety of models in order to tailor therapy to meet a client's individual needs and goals. Her overall approach is relational, meaning that she values the creation of a warm and safe therapeutic relationship. She seeks to reduce any perceieved power imbalances, with the aim of building trust and aiding openness and transparency, in order to promote growth and healing.
Position at Priory
Kirsty is an integrative psychotherapist, meaning that she draws from a variety of therapeutic models in order to tailor therapy to meet clients' needs. Kirsty is a new therapist at Priory, as she has historically and predominantly worked for the NHS.
Training
Kirsty's highest qualification is her MSc in Counselling Psychology. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, Level 4 EMDR, BSc(Hons) Psychology (2.1), Counselling Certificate and Diploma. Kirsty is also trained in NHS evidence-based therapies including person-centred experiential counselling for depression PCE-CfD (CfD) and interpersonal therapy (IPT).

Kirsty has applied to do her PhD and is currently awaiting a decision.
