About
Laurent is a BACP, UKCP registered, and EMDR trained, psychotherapist experienced in working with clients facing challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties and addiction. As an integrative psychotherapist, he draws from a range of different therapeutic theories and approaches including humanistic, psychodynamic, existential and trauma-focused. As an experienced addictions therapist, Laurent has in-depth knowledge of 12-step recovery.
In partnership with David Lloyd Clubs, Laurent devised mental health and wellbeing groups for members to provide more accessible ways to stay well, through delivering preventative mental health programmes.
Laurent’s previous background includes senior leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and fast-growth technology companies, as well as founding three start-up businesses. This experience is useful when working with business leaders and clients in high-pressure leadership roles.
Position at Priory
Laurent joined Priory Hospital Roehampton as an integrative psychotherapist in 2024 to provide individual and group therapy for adult inpatients and outpatients. Specialising in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), Laurent supports clients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD.
Current specialisms and areas of interest are trauma and developing new group-based therapy programmes. Laurent facilitates groups on addiction, depression and anxiety.
