About
I am a qualified cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner, as well as a registered mental health nurse (RMN). I am accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and am on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register. I am able to offer support with your mental health, using a variety of different modalities. I am able to support clients who are struggling with issues related to depression, trauma, addiction, anxiety, stress, eating issues, major life changes and any other issues that might be arising in your life right now. I am able to offer support to both children and young people, as well as adults, due to my experience of working both within adult mental health services and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). More recently I have trained to assess autism using the ADOS 2 and ADI-R assessment tools, which I feel is a benefit in aiding the work that I do.
In the work that I do, I offer a safe and confidential space for clients to open up, process and learn new skills to manage how they are feeling, as well as making in-depth assessments, formulations and working diagnoses.
I am able to provide and safe and comfortable space to talk, to identify struggles and work on making the changes that the client wants, in order to have a fulfilling life.
Position at Priory
I have worked for Priory since 2013, holding various positions, from staff nurse to ward manager to therapist, at multiple Priory locations. I currently hold the position as a sessional therapist at Priory Hospital Barnt Green, offering both CBT and EMDR as therapy modalities, as well as working on the autism pathway.
