Lopa Vibhakar

Lopa Vibhakar is a systemic couple and adult family psychotherapist at Priory Wellbeing Centre Fenchurch Street and Priory Wellbeing Centre Harley Street.

Lopa has experience of facilitating diversity supervision groups for clinicians working with multi-cultural population and gender specific issues.

Lopa has worked with couples with various difficulties, inlcuding:

Lopa believes that a whole systems approach to mental health is important as we are social beings and what we go through has an impact on the other and vice a versa, whether it’s a partner, a family member, a friend and at work.

She is very experienced in helping couples from pre–marriage/commitment to long–term relationship, through to retirement and future planning as a couple.

I am a qualified UKCP registered systemic and family psychotherapist from the Institute of Family Therapy and University of London Birkbeck. I am also a qualified occupational and organisational psychologist from the University of East London.

I have over 30 years of experience working in NHS adult mental health and in a crisis intervention team, working with individuals, couples, families and groups. As a consultant systemic and family psychotherapist in London, I managed and provided evidence-based systemic therapy to people with complex and enduring mental health diagnoses for the age group of 18 years and older.

I have extensive experience of working within the corporate sector, designing and facilitating various well-being projects as the Head of HSFocus Consultancy.

I also have many years of experience training nurses, clinical/counselling psychologists and psychiatrists in systemic practice.
