About
Dr. Ivanov is a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist with over 20 years of expertise in mental health care.
Over a dedicated 12-year period, Dr. Ivanov built her career in the NHS, where she worked across both community and inpatient settings. During her tenure, she served as an ECT consultant in an NHS trust and held a key leadership role as a medical lead.
Her NHS experience also encompassed treating complex and treatment-resistant cases, and she spent four years in psychiatric intensive care (PICU), further honing her expertise in managing acute and challenging situations.
Position at Priory
Dr. Ivanov now applies her extensive experience as an inpatient consultant psychiatrist with Priory, where she also serves as the medical director for two Priory hospitals. In addition, she is the chair for the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality Networks for PICU Advisory Group, driving quality improvement and service development.
Training
Dr Ivanov has trained in Bucharest, Romania followed by North Central London training scheme. She holds a dual certificate of completion of training in general adult and old age psychiatry, with an additional endorsement in liaison psychiatry, and her practice is grounded in a person-centred, bio-psycho-social approach
