About

I am a BABCP accredited psychotherapist specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I am an experienced therapist and I have worked within mental health services for over 10 years. I have experience working in primary and secondary services including adults, learning disabilities, children’s services, physical health services, and older people services and dementia, across both the NHS and private health care.

I have always worked in a creative way with people and put the client at the centre of everything I do. I believe that a holistic approach is crucial in understanding a person’s needs. I am trained to work with depression, anxiety and trauma, such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety and others. I incorporate my skills using a number of models including CBT, ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy.

I have a special interest in working with anxiety disorders, men’s mental health (first experience of services), grief and addictions.
